On a beautiful sunny morning on 12th August 2012 three
teams from Swim-1st Tri Club took part in the Worthing Triathlon Olympic
Distance Relay.
The race started with a tough 1500m sea swim which had a
rare sighting difficulty of sun in your eyes! The 40km bike followed with the
usual 10km Run to finish.
All three teams did well with one of our teams winning
the overall relay. Swimmer Lee Basset, Cyclist Grant Mansfield and Runner Dave
Tibbals came in 18 seconds ahead of second place to secure victory. Lee Basset
who runs Swim-1st Tri Club and Head Swim Coach Grant Mansfield both said they
enjoyed the race, "it was well organised and we will definitely be back
next year to defend our victory"
